Planetary Annihilation Alpha Trailer
We launched the alpha version of Planetary Annihilation game and I wanted to do a trailer that showed our progress from our Kickstater pitch video to what the game looks like now. This was about two weeks of work and I spent the most time getting good gameplay captures. I had the initial idea and roughed it out in a day and spent about two weeks getting everything together. Enjoy!

Super Blues Bros
A mash up of Mario Bros and the Blues Brothers. When I started imagining these guys together it just made a lot of sense. A stylized surreal action adventure with Mario kart races on an epic quest to raise gold coins to save the Mushroom kingdom orphans. It could easily work as an animated movie or an action adventure game.

Happy Uber Halloween!
Here's a version of the Uber logo with a zombie from Left4Dead. Braiinnss!!
Its been over a month since I've moved from Gas Powered Games to a startup in Kirkland, WA, Uber Entertainment. I'm having a blast with the talented Uber guys with our new game. It's both challenging and rewarding and I can't wait to show it off when its time. In the meantime we'll be blogging the development process over at A Birth of a Game. Follow along!

Speed Sculpt Challenge
I started on the new Speed Sculpt Challenge at 3dtotal. The topic is realistic cartoon. Its a four hour challenge where you take their provided generic base mesh and speed sculpt it into a realistic interpertation of a cartoon character.

Party in my tummy
Yo Gabba Gabba is one of the best kids shows on TV. I watch it most mornings with my 2 year-old. Lots of good messages delivered with contagious hip-hop beats.

Zombie Pug
I started designing a zombified Pug for a HL2 mod that I used to help out with couple of years ago. It was fun to play around with taking a cute pug and turning him into a muscle bound, slightly confused, man eating, cyclops dog with a slight creepy appeal. I'll probably noodle with the body some more before moving on to the model and textures.

2Pac teaser
I built a stylized 2Pac model and textures for a friend of mine awhile back ago. He put together a little teaser with it.

#2 AKA Cody
Cody had a very quick delivery on the morning of 12-12. Mom and baby are both doing well and Aidan is easing into his role as a big brother. I've forgotten how amazing the whole baby stage was. We're all having a great time. So far Cody is an easy baby. Happy holidays!

painting the kid's room
While Beth and Aidan were away for a week, I painted Aidan's room. Orignially I wanted to do a base sky blue on three of the walls and keep one as a mural wall. Instead of painting on the wall directly, (read - too lazy) I decided to go for a more modular, easier to update approach. I drew up a couple of characters in Flash, printed them out on a giant HP plotter, spary mounted them to 30x40 foamcore and made cutouts. So far I've got flying Elmo and Mater.
